Google Chrome Introduces Biometric Authentication to Lock Incognito Tabs on Android

Google Chrome is taking steps to make its Incognito Mode even more private. A new feature is rolling out to Android phone users that will automatically lock Incognito tabs when the browser is exited. Users will be able to unlock these tabs using biometric authentication, such as the fingerprint scanner on their smartphone. 

This feature was first introduced on iOS devices back in 2021 and is now being rolled out to Android users. To take advantage of this security measure, users will have to go into the settings of the Chrome browser and activate the "lock Incognito tabs" feature. Once this is toggled on, users will be prompted to enter their biometric authentication, such as a fingerprint scan, to unlock their Incognito tabs that have been locked. This will provide an extra layer of security for users who want to keep their browsing activity private. 

The biometric lock feature will not only protect Incognito tabs on Google Chrome, but it will also work with any other app or website that requires biometric authentication. This means that users can use their fingerprint or face recognition to unlock their Incognito tabs, as well as any other app or website that requires such authentication. 

Google has also implemented other security measures that are designed to make users' browsing experience more secure. For example, they have added a "Safe Browsing" feature to Chrome that warns users if they are visiting a website that is potentially dangerous. This feature can be enabled in the settings of the Chrome browser. 

Google Chrome's latest security measure is a welcome addition to their Incognito Mode.
